Chain link fence uses

Posted on February 29th, 2012 No Comments

Chain link fences can be used in residential situations as well as business situations. This type of fencing is an ideal solution for school districts, sports facilities, and residential needs including pet areas.

The chain link material is easy to work with, durable, and does not require a lot of upkeep. Based on the project at hand, the material comes in several heights, colors, and coatings. The chain links in the fence resemble a diamond pattern, and the smaller the diamonds, the more stable the fence.

Gauges for chain links come in several sizes, including; 6, 9, 11, and 12 gauge. Each gauge is used for a separate type of fencing project.

Steel fence project underway to protect drivers in Colorado

Posted on February 16th, 2012 No Comments

An eight-foot-tall steel fence project has been put into motion in Colorado. The fencing project was approved by the Colorado Department of Transportation, and will be constructed along a part of Interstate 25 in order to protect drivers from deer crossings in the area.

Between six different exits on the highway, deer attempt to cross the lanes on a regular basis. This problem has ended in fatal car accidents over the years. The fences will be designed to look like cloth, and to redirect the deer to an area where they can cross the highway safely.

The fencing project will cost approximately $953,000, and federal funds are the main contributor to this amount. The construction started at the beginning of January, and is expected to be completed by the end of June.
