Lake Dallas throws Fat Tuesday celebration

Today is Fat Tuesday, the final day of celebration for Mardi Gras. At the Lake Dallas City Hall, a large celebration has been planned to celebrate the day’s festivities.

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. and is open to people of all ages. The headlining band for the event will be the Nawlin’s Gumbo Kings. The Gumbo Kings state that they began their career in Lake Dallas, and are looking forward to playing at the festival tonight.

Several festivities will be featured tonight, including a crawfish eating competition, costume contest, and a vendor market. There will also be activities specifically designed for young children.

The Dallas chain link fence experts of Viking Fence hope that everyone stays safe while celebrating Fat Tuesday.
